This I Believe
I believe in people
I claim that the whole world is drawn , let me tell you why? If I pick up this pen, this pen was designed by a product designer, he drew how this pen should look like, all the details. Then this pen could go into a production process and become a pen. This skirt was drawn by a fashion designer. Even this building where we are now are drawn by architect. Also street here was drawn by a city planner or an engineer, if you go down on the ground, down into the sewer the pipes, electrical systems all it was drawn and planned by engineers of different types. All ours things, clothes, shoes, homes was drawn by someone. So I can say that whole world came from somebody drawing it. So everything comes from imagination.
Athens is a capital of Greece. On working days the the town is crowded with cars and it is a reason why everyone are using metro. Metro is the place where you can see extremely different people, for example business man, homeless women even without shoes, refugees, or normal local family.
It happen on 6th of July 2016 everyone was after work 5pm, vagon was full of people. It was really hot day about 40C. I was sitting near refugees family, mom, dad and two kids about 5 years old.
Kids were playing with cars. One moment they started shouting and crying. For few minutes it was okay but after five minutes it started to be annoying. Mom and dad tried many times to talk with them but it was not working. After ten or five minutes kids were still crying. Ir was so loud.
And then dad started singing loudly a lullaby, his voice was so beautiful . It was in syrian language. Everyone stopped talking. Every person in the wagon was confuse. Kids stopped crying. It was so powerful. He had a hundred options how he could do in this situation for example he could grab kids hands or he could start shouting on them but he used his own imagination to control a situation. And kids started smiling. After this song for few minutes in wagon was silence. Because in any book for parents or nannies you will not find a option to sing a lullaby when your kids are shouting in metro. This dad was brave enough to think outside the box. He was brave enough to create with his imagination his own solution.
